Partida helps launch the Melbourne Agave Society

After many months of planning, the Melbourne Agave Society (MAS) has officially launched. At the group's initial meeting, members were greeted with a serving of nachos to help them get into the mood to learn all about Partida. Alex McDowell from Think Spirits went through each step of the process in a 50 minute presentation. An open forum format ensured that those present learned more than just reading from a sheet. Alex showed his love for Jalisco by including maps and photos that helped explain each process. The room came alive when it came time to taste Partida. Attendees discussed many ways to highlight tequila, and cocktails with pears, peaches, grapefruits and even winter warmers like blazers were talked about while using Partida as the base. After the presentation, each member enjoyed a Partida Margarita. Other cocktails created included a Partida Reposado Old Fashioned with Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Bitters and a Tiki-inspired concoction using Partida Anejo. Melbourne is enjoying what we have known for a long time; that Partida is the world's top-rated tequila! The MAS holds meetings on the 3rd Monday of each month, a mix of bartenders, industry figures and general public all keen to learn more about tequila. For more information, visit on Facebook.
